Most days I am in my pajamas, but once in awhile I like to get fancy… and maybe take a shower (kidding! I’m an obsessive shower taker!). I put together not one, but TWO Valentine’s date night outfits that I hope will give you some ideas!

After traveling I get inspired to take more little adventures near home – to visit places that are just a short drive away. We’d heard of Bok Tower Gardens from friends who had visited, but had never been ourselves. The garden is less than two hours from Orlando and was so worth the drive.

Last year we decided that we wanted to start a new family tradition and give our two kids (and us) an adventure for Christmas: 4 days in someplace new to enjoy each other, make memories, and not have a million people to visit. For our first family adventure we visited Niagara Falls (the Canadian side); it was such an amazing trip (though it was possibly just as exhausting as it was amazing).

This shirt is everyone’s favorite. The first time I saw it I laughed out loud and then realized how true it was (I don’t have a problem; you have a problem!). I was shopping for someone else when I saw it – and my daughter reminded me that “We’re not shopping for you, mommy” (I wonder where she got that from?)… so I decided to let it go. Buuuuttt the next time I saw it, it was on sale so I couldn’t pass it up.

Truth: My Happy Place was not as happy today. We surprised our 5 year old with her first haircut at The Barber Shop in Magic Kingdom. I planned for weeks and worked hard at getting her an appointment (seriously though, it shouldn’t be as hard as it is). I was excited; I couldn’t wait to see her face when we told her what we were doing! Let me tell you how that went as we stood in front of The Barber Shop, David ready with the camera to take pictures of her happy little face… ”Cadence, we are here to let you finally get your first haircut!
